The second stage of training for SESU rescue drivers has been successfully completed!
The Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation, together with our partners Nova Ukraine, continues to systematically strengthen the capabilities of Ukraine’s rescuers.
In the Kyiv region, the second stage of a specialized off-road driving training was held for SESU drivers. Over the course of three days, 10 rescuers from five regions practiced skills that allow them to operate effectively where roads essentially end.
The training program included:
• driving 4×4 all-wheel-drive vehicles in off-road conditions;
• working with rigging and recovery equipment — winches, ropes, kinetic straps, pulleys, jacks, and more;
• practicing actions in difficult and extreme situations;
• developing team coordination — a critical element of successful rescue operations.
This training is about confidence, speed, and safety in environments where the cost of a mistake is extremely high.
At the end of the training, participants received certificates and sets of professional rescue rigging equipment, which will soon be used in real operations.
We thank Nova Ukraine for their partnership, trust, and support of this project.
We continue to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of Ukraine’s fire and rescue services.
