Tomorrow, the largest charity event in support of Ukrainian firefighter heroes - the "Ultramarathon of Gratitude" - will start in Kyiv. In 14 days, Volodymyr Skovorodka, rescuer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, will run 800 km and finish on the central square of Warsaw on Independence Day, August 24. Every day he will run 60 km, every day one and a half marathon distances, and so every day for two weeks.
Our foundation, together with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, is the organizer of this event, and we set ourselves the goal of collecting at least 2 million hryvnias during the ultramarathon for the purchase of special equipment for demining reservoirs, in order to clean our lakes, rivers and ponds of russian shells and destroyed military equipment and thereby protect hundreds of lives of Ukrainians who may become innocent victims of this war.
For the next 14 days, we will accompany our marathon runner, tell you about events, meetings in cities, and people who will join our campaign. We will do everything necessary to achieve the goal. Everyone who wants to can participate in the ultramarathon, support our campaign with a donation by choosing a section of the route to run virtually. Expect details and additional information from us tomorrow, and now please meet our rescuer-marathoner, who was on the live broadcast of Breakfast with 1+1 this morning.
