😍 "Before, we only saw such a thing in photographs and could only dream about it," the rescuers tell us, inspecting the motor boat that we delivered to Kherson on Saturday.
These brave people managed to evacuate several thousand people from the flooded areas, saving them from certain death, during these days after the explosion of the hydroelectric power plant on the Kakhovsky Reservoir. Almost every day, the russians targeted the rescuers during search and evacuation operations, but the rescue did not stop, because they saved their own people - ordinary Kherson people, their neighbors, those with whom they studied at school or those who studied at school with the rescuers themselves, just familiar and kind friends.
We needed two trucks and two minibuses to bring all the help that we collected together with you for the rescuers of Kherson. Currently, rescue units from all over Ukraine are working in the city, hundreds of rescuers are helping to eliminate the consequences of the flooding of the city. Also, our help with you will be useful, and from today the transferred equipment will be used by rescuers to perform tasks.
Unfortunately, the scale of the problem associated with heavy water in the Kherson Region is very large. There are still long days and weeks ahead of liquidation of the consequences of flooding - collapse of buildings in flooded areas, pumping of water from lowlands when the high water recedes, siltation of huge areas that will be impossible to move by ordinary transport, mines and explosives, fallen trees, debris of buildings swept away by the current .
We have a reserve of funds collected for the needs of Kherson rescuers, and we plan to soon purchase another batch of special transport - boats, cars for moving through the swamp. We will decide together with the Kherson rescuers, we will inform you on occasion and report back as always.
