Fifth Group of Rescuers Completed Training!

Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation, with the support of Nova Ukraine, has completed training for the fifth group of driver-rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine as part of our specialized off-road driving program.

Training Through the Lens of Psychology

Rescuers come to training from different regions of Ukraine. They carry the weight of daily work under constant stress — evacuations under shelling, dealing with missile strike aftermath, round-the-clock shifts, chronic lack of sleep. Their tiredness is not just physical exhaustion. It's emotional burnout from being constantly ready to respond to emergencies, from the responsibility of every decision, from the need to stay strong for those they rescue.
Our goal is not just to teach technical off-road driving skills. We create a space where they can release tension, switch off, and feel like students again.
Information is delivered easily, without extra pressure. The atmosphere is supportive, not judgmental. Mistakes during training are not failures, but valuable experience. We deliberately build the process so it becomes not an additional burden, but instead — a way to mentally recharge.

Three days of intense practice on rough terrain, work with rigging equipment, team coordination — all of this happens in a format where you can breathe freely. Where you can laugh about a stuck vehicle, then pull it out together. Where your experience is valued, and your tiredness is understood.

As a result, rescuers return to their units not only with new skills and professional equipment, but also with restored inner resources. With the understanding that they are not alone. With a sense of team that stretches across the entire country.

The fifth group completed training. Participants received certificates and sets of professional rigging equipment.

We sincerely thank Nova Ukraine for their partnership, support, and understanding of how important it is to invest not only in equipment and skills, but also in the people behind those skills.

We continue. We plan the next groups. We care for those who care for all of us.
