PANTHER 4×4: A New Level of Capability for Ukrainian Rescuers
The Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation, together with its partners, has handed over two modern, highly efficient PANTHER 4×4 airport fire trucks to units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. This delivery was the result of consolidated efforts by our foundation, North Defence, and the Ministry of Defence of Luxembourg.
The PANTHER 4×4 airport fire trucks represent a new level of capability for Ukrainian rescuers. Imagine: a 10.5-meter vehicle weighing 26 tons, equipped with a 700-horsepower engine, accelerates to 80 km/h in just 22 seconds. This is not just impressive performance — it is response speed when every second saves lives.
This equipment is designed to fight the most complex fires and has power that is difficult to overestimate: 9,000 liters of water and 900 liters of foam concentrate on board. The main turret on the boom delivers 4,750 liters of water per minute — approximately 80 liters per second. For comparison, a standard fire hose delivers about 400 liters per minute. The PANTHER can extinguish large-scale fires where conventional equipment is powerless.
We continue to scale up our help, providing rescuers not only with basic equipment but also with highly specialized, world-class machinery.
The PANTHER handover ceremony took place with the participation of the Head of the State Emergency Service, Andriy Danyk; Oliver North, CEO of North Defence and authorized representative of the Ministry of Defence of Luxembourg; as well as the team of the Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation.
The systematic cooperation between our foundation and North Defence is a clear example of how the combined efforts of business and charitable organizations create real results.
The Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation remains a reliable partner that transforms international solidarity into real rescue tools for Ukrainian rescuers.
We sincerely thank North Defence, the Ministry of Defence of Luxembourg, and all partners for their trust and support. At a time when Ukraine faces new challenges every day, international cooperation has real power — the power that saves lives.
