UAH 5 million to help Kherson rescuers!
This is how much we managed to raise yesterday. All this is thanks to you. Each of your donations helps to save the lives of Ukrainian people in Kherson region and disrupts the enemy's plans to force us to surrender.
When announcing the collection, we frankly did not expect such your activity and underestimated your desire to help with your hryvnia to eliminate the consequences of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station explosion. We planned to raise money for water pumping equipment so that rescuers could protect critical infrastructure from flooding and prevent a collapse in the city. This will allow us to organise a proper evacuation process for the victims and ensure the normal operation of humanitarian services and help our military to defend the city from the russians.
Yesterday, we paid for 10 motor pumps for dirty water (UAH 297,990), 2 heavy-duty motor pumps (UAH 158,000) and 500 metres of suction hoses (UAH 300,000). The equipment is already on its way, and soon Kherson rescuers will receive our cargo and start pumping out water from the city's flooded facilities.
However, since you, our benefactors, have significantly exceeded our fundraising plans, together with the rescuers, we decided to use the rest of your funds to buy equipment for local rescuers. Part of Kherson and the region has turned from land into the Dnipro floodplain and all the demining, evacuation and rescue work that was previously carried out on land will now have to be carried out on or under water.
We are continuing our fundraising to help Kherson rescuers and aim to fully cover the needs for equipment and gear for divers and submariners.
We promise to tell and show the current realities of Kherson and the daily struggle of rescuers for human lives and their hometown in a separate post.
